In this day of high-tech salons which might include anything from computerized cut and color previews (which we might add, never work) -- to digital whirlpool pedicure spas, not to mention air-brushing (could be for nails or hair, or even bodies if you're into that), Hair, There, & Every Wear has a new concept.

We want you to feel that instead of having to book an appointment 6 months in advance with a series of specialists (you know the routine: shampoo specialist, cutting specialist, colorist, perm specialist, and if you're really in bad shape: make-over specialist), with each specialist requiring either automatic withdrawal from your bank account, down payment for their dream home, or the signing over of your first-born child, we simply ask that you give us a few hour's notice before entering what we fondly refer to as our "living room".

Upon entering, you will be invited to share a cup of coffee or tea, and possibly a home-baked goody (not provided by a gourmet chef on staff, but simply a client or two who might have been puttering in the kitchen before arriving for their own appointment).

Thereafter, anything could happen. It can be a rowdy place; a lot of giggling goes on there. It can also be a serene place; many have commented on the feeling of peace that we all enjoy there. We can be a support group when necessary, or simply cheap entertainment.

There can be book discussions (okay--gossip magazine discussions), movie and TV reviews, and occasionally some political debate. Whatever -- the clients at HTEW quickly become friends with each other, and family to us. (We're even putting a cookbook together).

Aside from all of the camaraderie, we really do provide services: top of the line, state of the art, equivalent to the high tech -- but not high priced -- salon services.

From the latest cutting, styling, and color techniques -- to wigs and hairpieces, hair extensions, and FeatherTouch spa treatments and energy work.

We also carry an array of beauty products, nutritional supplements, and specialize in hair loss products and treatments.

We frequently have boutique items available including fashions, jewelry, hats, scarves, bath products, and various odds and ends that we just get a kick out of bringing in and sharing -- many of them hand-made, labors of love.
